What a fantastic year for everyone!
Pictured above - a few of our show team members with their 2008 awards.
Adam Hickey with Orange County, Milaan B and Novalis - CHAMPION OR RESERVE CHAMPION at every single horse show this year, including Ontario and Quebec A shows! What an accomplishment! Adam and Millie finished the year being reserve champion Trillium Jumper Eastern Zone, he was also our Zone’s Jumper medal champion and was champion of the Jumper medal at the Trillium Championships. On the A circuit, he won several jumper championships, and qualified for the CET regional finals, where he finished 3rd to become a national finalist at the RAWF in November. Good luck at the Royal Adam!!
Kiera Fitzgerald and Orange County - A strong start to the year was suddenly brought to a stop when Phoenix had and injury early on. They did manage to compete at the first three trillium shows, where they placed in every single class. Kiera was able to get Phoenix legged up in time to catch the last Ashland OVPSC show, where they took home first place ribbons in both the Eqs and the Training hunter! This will be a hard team to beat in 2007 in the adult amateur ring!
Alex Charron and Offten - This pair placed at every Trillium show they competed at this year. Only Alex’s first year out of the short-stirrup ring, she was the youngest rider in the children’s ring. They also competed at the Capital classic, and did the hopeful jumpers at the end of the year, bringing home lots of ribbons from both shows!
Laura Edgley and Julia Cameron - Our two short-stirrup riders did very well in their first year of competition. Both riding young inexperienced horses, they managed to hold their own against all the old pros. Julia ended her year moving up to the bigger jumps, and Laura ended her year with a Reserve champion at Fiddler’s. GREAT WORK GIRLS!
Alex Kemp-Thompson and Ain’t She Sweet - Alex and Jessie only competed at a few shows this year, but will be back in 2007!
Heather Turcotte and Honky Tonk - Heather and Tonka competed in the Trillium Large Pony division. This was a leaning year, as Tonka is only 3 years old, and it was Heather's first year showing Trillium. Both of them had a great time, and managed to bring home a few ribbons along the way!
Melissa Gilby and Whiskey Lullaby - Also a learning year, as Whiskey is another one of our 3 year olds. This team paired up to compete in OVPSC hack classes and the Trillium Hack division. Lots of placings, and by the end of the year winning classes on the OVPSC circuit!
Sarah Burd and Certain Destiny - Our star team! Sarah living 6 hours away would drive up on weekends to ride Destiny and compete in the hopeful jumpers. Champion or Reserve Champion at every show they competed at led them to becoming year end OVPSC Hopeful jumper Champions!
Allie Glavina and Rocket Man - Allie and Monty had a great year! After a rocky start, they soon became the team to chase in the jumper ring!
Congrats to ALL our other riders who also had a wonderful 2006 show season!!
